Job Description Job Description Salary: $17.00 - $19.75/hour SUMMARY Working under the general supervision of the Retail Stock Museum Manager, directs the Retail Stock Clerk(s) in the day-to-day duties of the Department. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Under limited supervision, takes inventory, orders, receives, stores, stocks and distributes merchandise to the retail store by performing the following duties. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Forklift and lift certified on all forklifts & lifts in the 2500 North Watney building Loads and unloads trucks at the dock or outside using the forklift Main driver for the Jelly Belly box trucks, making pickups or deliveries for JBCC or JB Stores Takes inventory in the stock room and in the store. Examines merchandise to identify items to be reordered or replenished. Backs up the Retail Stock/Museum Manager to order merchandise or prepare requisitions to replenish merchandise on hand in retail store. Receives, opens, and unpacks cartons or crates of merchandise, checking invoice against items received. Stamps, attaches, or changes price tags on merchandise, referring to price list. Stocks storage area in proper space (space assigned for each item) and displays with new or transferred merchandise. Transports merchandise from storage to other designated areas, using pallet jacks and forklifts as appropriate. Sorts and places items on racks, shelves or pallets according to predetermined sequences such as size, type, style or product code. Maintains all work areas in a clean and orderly fashion, including boxes broken and placed in proper bin. Works with Retail Stock/Museum Manager to operate the Jelly Belly Museum, including register problems, cash management, breaking the train, along with guest and employee issues. If necessary and if over 21 years old, breaks Chocolate & Wine room as needed Other duties as assigned. Inherent in each position is a general duty to maintain each respective work area in a safe and sanitary condition.  Regular, predictable, full-time attendance is required as an essential function of this position.  The employee may be required to perform other such duties within the scope of their employment as may be assigned.  The employee must also possess the ability to take direction, follow instructions, work with others, follow work rules and schedules, and focus on details. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.  Ability to print and speak simple sentences. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Certification on forklift and pallet jack preferred.
